<p>One year ago today, I was sitting on my couch at home with my mom and best friend. I told them that I wanted to start a blog but I needed help with a name for it.</p>
<h5>Together we came up with,<span style="color:#33b0b0;"><span style="color:#c56fd9;"><em><strong><span style="color:#c56fd9;"> From Queen to Queens</span></strong></em>.</span> </span></h5>
<p>For any new readers, my middle name means Queen and I believe that every woman is a queen in her own right. Therefore the name was definitely fitting. I began with wanting it to be a self-help, inspirational blog and after a while I ventured into a few race relation topics. Now, a year later I&#8217;ve decided to expand the content we cover. I&#8217;ll still be focusing on helping and up building you Queens, so don&#8217;t worry. The only thing changing is that you&#8217;ll have so much more to relate to. I&#8217;m excited and I hope that you are as well. Wednesday&#8217;s post,<a href="http://wp.me/p4HGjQ-8S"> &#8216;Monochromatic Fashion, Done Right&#8217;</a>, was just a glimpse of the new content.</p>
<p>Now one year later, I&#8217;m on the same couch typing on the same computer&#8230; It&#8217;s honestly a nostalgic moment for me. I&#8217;m a pretty emotional person so when I think of all the things that you all have said and all of the kind words, I&#8217;m truly taken aback. The blog has been viewed in Spain, Italy, South Africa, India, and more. I couldn&#8217;t be more thankful. If I&#8217;m able to touch just one person with this, I&#8217;ll know I&#8217;ve done my job.</p>
