I will be the first person to admit that I do not read as much as I should. It’s really sad because there was a time when you couldn’t pry a book out of my hands for anything in this world. As you get older, it feels like you don’t have time for much… especially reading.

But this year I want to rediscover the book worm within me. I want to make reading a habit again and I started by getting a library card from my local library and making a list of books I want to read this year. All of the authors are African- American with the exception of 2 (in case that matters to you). But I wanted to share my list with you because it’s much easier to complete a goal when you aren’t in it alone. So, I will be documenting my journey through these books and hopefully you will find some interesting to either read along with me or you can keep me updated on your current reads!
