The realities of life are pretty simple.
What goes up, must come down. What goes around, will come back around.
And if someone is born into this world, one day they will surely leave it. If we know these universal truths, why are they still so hard to grasp? When a baby is born, we don’t think about how much time was allotted to them. Instead, we revel at the gift of new life, fresh and innocent. We daydream about all of the wonderful things this new being may do, and even if a thought crosses our mind about their departure, it is fleeting.
When flowers are at their peak in full bloom, we marvel at their beauty. But we know that eventually, the leaves will turn brown and the petals will fall. That’s how life is, blossoming and beautiful… but time bound. It’s essential for us to use our gift of life wisely because when we’re gone, people will only have the memories we left with them.
Today, think about how you’d like to be remembered. Whether you want people to remember you for the laughs you shared or the advice you gave. Maybe, you want people to remember you for being a great cook… Whatever it may be, do it wholeheartedly and thank God for the gift of life.
From Me to You, Love.
