<p>If you&#8217;re anything like me, you use the summer months to catch up on reading a few books. During the fall and spring months, I&#8217;m so consumed with text books, that I have no desire to pack on any extra reading that isn&#8217;t required for class.</p>
<p>Whether you&#8217;re somewhere on a beach, at a job, or in your bed, here are my <span style="color:#3ababa;"><em><strong>2015 Summer Reads</strong></em>:</span></p>

<li style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:#cc99ff;"><em><strong>The Fault in Our Stars</strong></em></span> by <em>John Green</em> -This novel turned film was a #1 New York Times Bestseller and is currently the first book I&#8217;ve started this summer. It follows the story of two teens who&#8217;s lives have been effected by cancer. If you have a soft spot for love stories, this one is for you.</li>

<p><span style="color:#cc99ff;"><strong><em>Letters to a Young Sister</em></strong></span> by<em> Hill Harper</em>&#8211; For those of us that could use some encouraging words and advice, you can&#8217;t go wrong with this book. Hill Harper compiles a series of letters just for us to promote self-respect, self-reliance, and to help us on our journey to becoming better women.</p>

<li><span style="color:#cc99ff;"><em><strong>The Shack</strong></em></span> by <em>WM. Paul Young- </em>I&#8217;ve read this book about three times, and each time I realized something that I hadn&#8217;t before. In this novel, a man visits a shack where he encounters God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. However, by the end of the book your beliefs about the image of the blessed trinity will be entirely different.<br />

<li><span style="color:#cc99ff;"><em><strong>What They Know About <span style="color:#3ababa;">You</span></strong></em></span> by <em>Bernard Asbell with <span style="color:#3ababa;">Karen</span> Wynn- </em>Are you more analytical than most people? This one may be for you. Created from series of studies, surveys, and professionals, this book is filled with &#8220;surprising..discoveries the experts have made about you and your behavior&#8221;. (Line Exert: &#8220;Whites prefer more physical distance from their conversation partners than blacks.&#8221;)<br />

<li><span style="color:#cc99ff;"><strong><em>Fifty Shades Freed</em></strong></span> by<em> E.L. James- </em>If you haven&#8217;t heard of <em>Fifty Shades of Grey </em>yet, what rock have you been hiding under? This book is in the<em> Fifty Shades</em> Trilogy, and I&#8217;ll leave it at that. I don&#8217;t want to ruin the surprise for anyone!<br />

<li><span style="color:#cc99ff;"><em><strong>Letter to my Daughter</strong></em></span> by<em> Maya Angelou- </em>The late Dr. Angelou published this book later in her life. Angelou chronicles events in her life and the lessons she learned from them. Great for any woman of any background and age to read.</li>
