Today is December 1st which means we’re finally putting the Christmas lights up, warming the fireplaces and thinking ahead to those tricky New Year’s resolutions.
As the year comes to a close I’ve noticed many people on social media discuss how 2018 “wasn’t their year” or maybe they could “try again next year.” But, the problem with those statements is that I see them every year around this time. It’s almost like, is any year going to be “your year” at all?
I think we place too much value in the concept of a new year meaning a fresh start. Don’t get me wrong, I love the feeling of hitting the refresh button at the beginning of a year but I don’t believe in coasting until the next year rolls around.
As we kick December off, I want you to remember that you don’t have to wait until January to get it right or start over. Use this valuable time to evaluate what may or may not be working in your life and make the necessary changes.
The new year isn’t some divine clean slate of opportunity. Every day is another chance to get it right.
You’ve got a month left in 2018. Make it count.
From me to you, Love.
