
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Over a year ago, while browsing pictures on Pinterest, I saw pictures of beautiful patchwork denim jackets. Instantly, I knew that I <span style="text-decoration: underline;">had</span> to create my own. However, I knew that I wanted my denim jacket to be a reflection of who I am and what my interests are. As you can imagine, in order for me to accomplish that, I had to wait a long time to find the patches that meant something to me. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Recently, while I was scrolling through Twitter, I found a post from a Black owned business that sold patches. The patches were inspired but 90&#8217;s tv shows, Black culture, and Black artists. I was sold. </p>

<p class="has-regular-font-size wp-block-paragraph">I placed an order for the iron on patches and they arrived in about 2 weeks. A few of the patches are from a vendor on Etsy (links at the end of this blog post) and those patches weren&#8217;t iron-on. To adhere those patches to the jacket, I used E6000 glue. So far, I haven&#8217;t had any issues with the patches coming off or lifting but if I do in the future, I&#8217;ll use a sewing machine to stitch the patches to the jacket.</p>
